About this policy
This policy explains how DoorDrop Driver handles information when authorised delivery partners use the Android app. The app is intended for driver accounts created and managed by DoorDrop administrators; it does not offer public self-registration.
Information we handle
- Account and profile information: driver name, registered mobile number, profile photo, vehicle details, verification status and internal driver identifier.
- Delivery information: assigned orders, vendor and customer contact details, pickup and delivery addresses, order status, timestamps and trip earnings.
- Device and notification information: Firebase Cloud Messaging token, device platform and technical logs needed to deliver alerts and diagnose problems.
- Authentication information: login credentials and session tokens used to keep the account secure. Passwords should be stored by our systems using appropriate security protections.
DoorDrop Driver opens the native phone dialler and Google Maps when requested. Those services operate under their own privacy terms. The app does not include an embedded map, chat or calling service.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate drivers, assign and manage deliveries, provide order alerts, enable contact and navigation actions, show earnings and order history, prevent misuse, support drivers and improve reliability.
When information is shared
Delivery details are shared only as needed among the driver, relevant vendor, customer and authorised DoorDrop administrators. We may use infrastructure and notification service providers, including Firebase Cloud Messaging, to operate the service. We do not sell driver personal information.
Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. Data is kept only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations.
Your choices
You may ask an administrator to review or correct your profile information. You can control notification permissions in Android settings. To request account deletion, follow the steps on our Delete Account page.
Children
The app is for authorised adult delivery partners and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or our legal obligations change. The latest version and effective date will always appear on this page.
